Raised in a bicultural family from a Mexican immigrant mother and a Texan father, Cristina grew up surrounded by stories, some spoken and some drawn. While not fluent in Spanish, she found connection with her family through visual language: hearing stories of her grandfather’s love of painting, admiring her aunt’s figure study charcoals from Spain, and continuing a generational love of the arts. In creating, she found belonging. She later discovered that graphic design offered a way to channel that creativity into problem-solving and strategy. It became the place where art met purpose—transforming client objectives into distinctive, resonant visual identities. Over the years, she’s enjoyed applying this approach to organizations of every scale—from global enterprises to emerging businesses—each with its own story to tell.

Her work has been recognized by creative organizations including the Communication Arts PRINT Regional Design Annual, Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) Branding Awards, Graphis Inc., Tenth District of the American Advertising Federation, American Advertising Federation of Dallas, Dallas Society of Visual Communications, and the Dribbble Courtside Design Blog.

Outside of work, Cristina has been rediscovering the joy of traditional painting, enjoying the tactile, expressive experience it offers alongside her digital practice. She finds inspiration wandering Austin’s natural spaces with her terrier Lennie, exploring antique stores for vintage treasures, discovering cozy cafés, collecting retro films on VHS, and immersing herself in story-driven video games and fantasy novels.
